The Fourth World Islamic Economic Forum opened
up in Kuala Lumpur
on May 18. According to one of its partakers – Linar Yakupov, President of the Non-commercial
Fund for the Development of Islamic Business and Finance (IBFD Foundation),
this event is one of the main happenings for the business community, and it precedes
the International Islamic Business and Finance Summit. The latter runs on June 28, 29 this year in Kazan. Mr. Yakupov is sure that the Forum
gives a chance to the delegates from Tatarstan to understand the mood of
investors and bankers before the KAZANSUMMIT 2010.
The
main mission of the event in Kuala Lumpur
is to build bridges between the countries with the help of business
communities. During the Forum, economists and businessmen have a wonderful
opportunity to share their opinions on world finance management after the
crisis. What is more, all interested parties can make suggestions on organizing
the financial system in the changed world. Fortunately, despite all cultural,
ethnical and ideological differences, the business languages of the East and
the West are similar. It is proved by the fact not only recognized experts, but
also young leaders and business ladies from various countries participate in
the Summit. A special program is elaborated for them.
The
particular attention will be paid to the extension of contacts between the
Muslim countries and Russia.
That is why the Islamic Development Bank considers the KAZANSUMMIT to be a
logical follow-up of the event in Kuala Lumpur.
Businessmen,
governmental authorities, representatives of regulators, and experts will be
able to continue their discussions and talk over mutual investment and strategic
projects.
