In his address at the opening of a conference on “Islamic Financing: Structure and tools”, Toukan highlighted the steps to be taken to develop the Islamic financing system. He also shed light on monitoring criteria in Islamic banks and the extent of their conformity with international practices. The conference, which was held at the?Institute of Banking Studies, is organised by the CBJ, the Malaysian central bank and the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank.
