Participation of Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company (TGIC) is expected in the 5th International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries – KazanSummit 2013 on October 2-3, 2013.
TGIC has been founded only this year and has the investment companies in its Board of Founders from UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman.
One of the founder of TGIC has already visited Kazan after taking part in the Winter Forum «INVEST in TATARSTAN» in December, 2012. During this visit, he denoted a willingness of TGIC member companies to become a partner of a project «SMART City Kazan». TGIC representative has visited Tatarstan again after three months but this time with his partners.
The next visit of TGIC is planned on October within KazanSummit 2013, where a presentation of the «SMART City Kazan», one of the most strategic projects of Republic of Tatarstan, and «Smart cities and the future of regional development» forum will take place. Let us mention that TGIC member companies have experience in the development of smart cities in the Middle East.
It is worthy to note that the initiative of TGIC establishment has come from the Gulf countries, which are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Therefore, it can be seen as a result of the KazanSummit five-year work which is aimed to strengthen contacts and create bases for economic cooperation of Russia and OIC countries.
