CEO of Iskandar Regional Development Authority Datuk Ismail Ibrahim will take part in the forum called “Smart cities and the future of regional development” within the 5th International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries.
The forum of Smart Cities will open a business program of the first day of international economic summit in Kazan. Right there will be a report of Datuk Ismail Ibrahim and also a presentation of Kazan’s new town called SMART City Kazan.
It should be noted that SMART City Kazan ows Iskandar Malaysia for its creation.
This is to say that Iskandar project was presented to The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during his working trip to Malaysia in January this year. Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated the accomplishments of this economic zone. The delegation from Tatarstan visited Malaysia again in March 2013 in order to adopt the experience in planning and realization of such smart cities.
Besides that, Malaysian Iskandar and local SMART City Kazan bands one person – the main architect of SMART City Kazan Norliza Hashim has also been involved in planning of Iskandar.
Having said that, the project of Tatarstan, SMART City Kazan, is off to show its progress to Iskandar Malaysia.
