In June 16, in «Korston-Kazan» the VII International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries – KazanSummit 2015 has finished its work.

The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al-Madani became guest of Honor at the main international platform of economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world. More than 700 people from 46 countries, including Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE, Somalia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Malaysia, UK, Luxembourg, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Tajikistan, Mauritius, Qatar, the Netherlands, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Brunei-Darussalam, Algeria, Indonesia, Korea, Zambia, Iraq, China, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Georgia, Yemen, the Philippines, Jordan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Switzerland, Macedonia, Hungary, Bahrain and Czech Republic participated in the event. More than 90 representatives of mass media from Russia, USA, Lebanon, Jordan, and UK covered the work of the summit.

According to the speech of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, KazanSummit – a good opportunity to demonstrate economic possibilities and investment potential of our big country, using Tatarstan as an example, showing the openness of the region, of the country and readiness to the dialogue in new political and economic conditions. KazanSummit platform, accented Rustam Minnikhanov, contributed to the creation of new contacts, the conclusion of agreements on specific projects.

Among 46 countries-participants of the KazanSummit 2015 – 25 were represented by the countries-members of OIC: Turkey, UAE, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Qatar, Somalia, Uzbekistan, Morocco, Pakistan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Yemen.

Among the participants of the event were Undersecretary of Qatar Minister of Economy Sultan Al-Khater, Director of investment department of IDB Mohamed Hedi Mejai, advisor to the CEO of ICIEC Hussein Khalif Jama, ambassadors of the foreign countries, parliamentarians of Russia and countries of the OIC, the heads of government agencies and financial institutions, and businessmen.

400 participants from 18 subjects of the Russian Federation registered for KazanSummit 2015, among them are representatives from Tatarstan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Crimea, Karachay-Cherkessia, Bashkir, Udmurt, Chechen Republic, Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Sverdlovsk, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Samara, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, and Rostov regions.
